Actively passive candidate

Actively passive candidate is a term used to describe a candidate who is interested in a company or job, but who is not currently doing anything to pursue it. This can be contrasted with an actively engaged candidate, who is currently taking steps to pursue their interest.

The term "actively passive candidate" is often used in the context of job hunting. For example, someone might be an actively passive caniddate for a position if they are interested in the job but have not yet submitted an application.

There are a number of reasons why someone might be an actively passive candidate. In some cases, the candidatemay not be aware of any openings in their field of interest. In other cases, the candidatemay be hesitant to take the first step, fearing rejection or failure.

Whatever the reason, being an actively passive candidatecan be frustrating. After all, it is difficult to get hired for a job that you're not even applying for.
